The Philadelphia Eagles absolutely destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22. You love to see it.
Let me start by saying- I don’t know if there were too many people that were actually excited about this game. The Chiefs were the worst 15-2 team ever, and Patrick Mahomes is a flopping crybaby. I said what I said. The Eagles, well… I like Saquon, but the team just doesn’t really sway me in either direction. I personally think all of America was rooting for the commercials more than either team. Wait, hang on, I take that back. The Swifties were all hoping the Chiefs would win so Travis Kelce could propose in the end zone.
Now, I will say that I was rooting for the Eagles because I simply cannot stand the Chiefs. As much as the media pretends- they are not Tom Brady and the Patriots. Nobody hates them because they’re good. The few Chiefs games I watched this year were awful. Matt Nagy’s offense strikes again! The reason they were so good was because of the refs! There were so many BS calls that led to them winning all of those 1 score games. By week 13, Patrick Mahomes had the worst passer rating and yards-per-game average of his career. On top of that, the Chiefs point differential of +56 was closer to the worst team in the Panthers than it was to the best at the time. They were 10-0 in one score games… nobody does that-unlesssss. Really makes you think @refs.
It is my honest opinion that when the noise of the refs helping the Chiefs became too loud the script was flipped. All year the Chiefs got every call their way. Then, the commissioner comes out and says the games are fair and basically gaslit every NFL fan. Then the Super Bowl comes, they don’t get any calls, and they get absolutely destroyed. That’s my story and I am sticking with it. NFL had to silence the accusations of the Chiefs cheating and it cost them a 3-peat and all my parlays.
The real star of the night, in my opinion, was not Super Bowl MVP QB Jalen Hurts, but rather cornerback Cooper DeJean. The dude got his first NFL interception, in the Super Bowl, ran it back for a touchdown, all while celebrating his 22 second birthday. DeJean gave himself the best birthday gift he will ever receive.
The Super Bowl didn’t impress me much, I am happy the Chiefs got their asses handed to them, but other than that it was mid. Now that I think of it, watching Vic Fangio’s defense shut down Matt Nagy’s offense was quite nice. It’s okay though. There is Always Next Year when we will all be watching Caleb Williams throw for 4 touchdowns on his way to Super Bowl MVP under new head coach Ben Johnson.
